We as a church are to be a dynamic spiritual organism empowered by the Holy Spirit to share Christ with as many people as possible in our church, community, and throughout the world; to be a worshiping fellowship, experiencing an awareness of God, recognizing His Person, and responding in obedience to His leadership; to experience an increasingly meaningful fellowship with God and fellow believers; to help people experience a growing knowledge of God and man; to be a church that ministers unselfishly to persons in the community and the world in Jesus' name; and to be a church whose purpose is to be Christlike in our daily living by emphasizing total commitment of life, personality, and possessions to the Lordship of Christ
Rev. Anthony W. Clemmons
SERVING SINCE 1988
The Reverend Anthony W. Clemmons is a native of Brunswick County in North Carolina and considers it an honor and a calling to serve the community where he was raised. His prayer for himself and the Church family is this: that we might portray Kingdom Citizenship in our everyday lives through lifestyle evangelism, reaching out to real needs of our community and the world, providing a place of worship where Jesus Christ and His Word have first place, and by leaving the walls of the Church Building and going into fields of harvest to compel the lost to be saved!
Pastor Clemmons was called into the ministry in 1984 and has been faithful in preaching the Word ever since. He began his first pastorate in 1985 serving for three years at Canetuck Baptist Church in Pender County, NC. Following his service at Canetuck, Rev. Clemmons followed the call of God to serve as Pastor of Mount Olive Baptist Church. Since 1988 Pastor Clemmons has continued to faithfully serve the congregation of believers at his home church, Mount Olive Baptist. Pastor Clemmons has been privileged to serve as a guest speaker and evangelist at numerous revivals, evangelism rallies, wild game banquets, and retreats over his more than 30 years in ministry. Serving faithfully by his side for the entirety of his ministry is his loving wife, Nancy, of Southport, NC.
Pastor Clemmons is a graduate of both Fruitland Baptist Bible College and Luther Rice University holding an Associates Degree in Church Ministry and a Bachelor Of Arts in Religion Ministry. Pastor Clemmons has further completed certificate training in the areas of Advanced Leadership, Christian Counseling, and Behavioral Analysis. Our Pastor remains faithful in sharing Godly wisdom and the truths of scripture with our church family.
